McKenzie Johnston

McKenzie Johnston is a physical therapist who brings a holistic, patient-centered approach and positive energy to help patients return to doing what they love. McKenzie attended the University of Vermont where she earned her B.S in Exercise Science with a minor in Behavioral Change Health Studies. During her time at UVM, she became passionate about sport psychology and spent time researching the relationship between mental health and sports injuries.
She recently graduated from Northeastern University where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with a sports performance concentration. During her co-op and clinical rotations, she continued to become passionate about patient-centered care focused on strength and functional, meaningful movements that improve the patient’s confidence to return to the activities they love. McKenzie enjoys working with individuals of all ages, from young athletes to weekend warriors to older adults who want to maintain their independence with confidence.
Outside of the clinic, McKenzie enjoys being outside, going on hikes, cooking, exploring coffee shops and restaurants, and rooting for all Boston sports teams. She connects most with Evolve’s value of creating warm connections and exercising emotional intelligence, making sure that every patient feels supported and heard throughout their entire PT journey.
